Obesity and Type 2 Diabetes are both becoming global epidemic's!  Nearly 1/3 of all Americans adults are obese and the number of obese children has tripled in the last 4 decades.  Obesity is the single best predictor of whether a person will develop Type 2 Diabetes.

At least 68 percent of people age 65 or older with diabetes die from some form of heart disease; and 16% die of stroke.
Adults with diabetes are two to four times more likely to die from heart disease than adults without diabetes.
