This is a knowledge-based activity** designed for individual or groups of diabetes educators, including RNs, RDs,

Pharmacists, Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Physician Assistants, MDs, and other health care

providers interested in staying up to date on current practices of care for their patients with diabetes and other related conditions.

 

 

The desired learning outcome of this program is:

Participants will learn and use a variety of new clinical and practical information in diabetes management, education and research to enhance their practice. 

Additional Learning Objectives include:

1. Participants will be able to utilize new knowledge to enhance teaching skills to patients of all ages.

2. Participants will be able to integrate new research findings into practice.

3. Participants will be able to identify strategies to improve glycemic control among patients throughout the lifespan.

 

**A knowledge based program is designed primarily for participants to acquire factual knowledge.

Non-AADE members: 2-day $240, 1-day $150.

Students: 2-day: $65, 1-day: $35

Registration Deadline: Registration's received after October 14th are subject to a $20 late fee. 

Refunds: A refund of all but $50 will be allowed until October 14th.

ACCREDITATION STATEMENT 

American Association of Diabetes Educators – Provider is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This program provides 12.0 contact hours of continuing education credit.

The AADE is also accredited by the California Board of Registered Nursing (CEP# 10977).

AADE is an Iowa Board of Nursing approved provider, #366. AADE awards this program 14.4 contact hours or 1.44 CEUs (1 contact hour = 50 minutes, or 0.1 CEUs). This certificate must be retained by the licensee for a period of four years.

The American Association of Diabetes Educators is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of pharmacy education. This program provides 12.0 contact hours (1.20 CEU’s) of continuing education credit. See the final CPE activity announcement for specific details.

The American Association of Diabetes Educators (AM001) is a Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Accredited Provider with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). CDR Credentialed Practitioners will receive 12.0 Continuing Professional Education Units (CPEUs) for completion of this activity/materials.
